IN/ARCH Lazio | February 4 6.30 pm | talk Marco Tirelli | i lunedì dell’architettura | CROSS WEGIL, Roma

Monday, February 4, the artist Marco Tirelli will be the protagonist of the fourth appointment of CROSS, the program of meetings and lecture of IN / ARCH Lazio by Emilia Giorgi and Matteo Costanzo.

On this occasion CROSS arrives at WEGIL, a space of the Lazio Region run by LAZIOcrea, where Tirelli will tell the public about his artistic research that develops according to different languages and techniques, from painting to sculpture to environmental installations.

In the constant experimentation of new materials and tools and in the design of each exhibition, the relationship between the works and the host space is always central. As Valerio Magrelli wrote, Tirelli’s works are “optical machines designed to learn to see”.

Whether it is a drawing or an installation, space takes shape through games of references between light and shadow, between what is visible and what is invisible, towards the construction of physical and mental landscapes and possible new spatio-temporal directions .

Through the cross-disciplinary approach of the program and together with its itinerant nature that intercepts different city locations (after the ACER headquarters, the program was at the cinema of the Villa Borghese and now in Trastevere) the CROSS curators intend to animate the debate to “stimulate a transversal investigation that foresees an open idea of architecture”.
